Personal Brand

Personal branding is more than a magical world. It’s a whole sphere where anyone can express themselves in any way possible. It’s not hard if you know how to set everything up right.

In this article, I want to explain why personal branding isn’t just about creating content and doing some boring chores.

It’s painting a picture of who you are, not just to the world, but to yourself in the first place.

1. Design a ‘Brand Vibe

Just like a signature fragrance, your brand should have a ‘scent’ that is known from a mile away.

It’s more than just the uniqueness of your content, it’s a brand vibe.

It’s a vibe that would give people an understanding of what you’re offering in an authentic way. It’s one of the most crucial aspects of every business.

You’re not starting a business or building a project with the idea that it’s the same as other apps or products on the market. You’re making it because you’re confident that your idea is unique.

it’s especially relevant in today’s world, a world where everyone wants to express themselves as much as possible.

Have you ever read someone’s article and immediately understood that they're your favorite writer? I’ve had that many times, especially with Tim Denning Eve Arnold. It’s enough for me to see just the title or read the first two paragraphs to understand the author of this piece of writing.

And trust me, each product, each article, and each person contains their own sense. The thing is that you need to find a way to express it and show it to as many people as possible.

I would highly encourage you to spend extra time thinking of your brand vibe. This understanding would give meaning to work for you, and meaning to pay attention to people.

2. Write Down Your Beliefs, Values, and Vision

Share it, live it, and watch how it resonates with like-minded people.

It’s like a set of rules or manifesto that you’re creating for yourself and for your personal brand at the same time.

As I wrote in the introduction, building a personal brand is like painting a picture of who you are. The main idea is that you’re painting it for yourself as well as for others.

Share your roadmap and your achievements with the audience. Openly explain why you’re more materialist or idealist. Think of the arguments and truly understand who you are.

When you understand yourself better, it will give you a better understanding of a vector to go further.

Don’t be afraid to share your fears as well. Only by agreeing to your problems, you’ll be able to solve them.

This manifesto would help you to build a structure for making the ‘right’ decision and making the best out of it.

That’s why you should be sure of what you believe in and what you see with your eyes. It will make your life easier.

It’s like creating a structure before beginning anything new.

And as James Clear once said — You don’t rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of your systems.

Without this understanding and without this manifesto you won’t be able to build a successful personal brand.

3. Embrace Your Quirks

What makes you weird might make you wonderful.

As we talked about previously, you need to find the uniqueness in yourself and have a deep understanding of who you are to build a personal brand.

Embracing your quirks would make the process of finding unique stuff much simpler. Remember that we’re all different and that you don’t need to be normal.

In that case, quirky means having unusual habits, interests, or personality traits that set them apart from other people

You can have some pretty strange activities that you really like, but others just don’t get it.

It shouldn’t be something really strange, but something that helps others contribute to your feelings.

And I’m talking mostly about habits from childhood that made you some sort of better of a person. For instance, I love the rainy weather more than the sunny one, I can sleep only on the back, and I always raise my eyebrows when I see someone new.

These little quirks made me who I am today and each of us has some of them.

Embracing your quirky side is a great power. It showcases your authenticity and makes you memorable. Standing out can lead to more opportunities and success.

In fact, most of us never even thought about something weird in us. You can ask your family and friends, keep a journal for self-reflection and just notice even the small details in your everyday life.

After all, being unique always leaves a lasting impression and I would love to see more people actively use it in everyday life and personal branding as well!

4. Become a Storyteller

Don’t just share some cold facts, tell a story instead.

Nobody wants to get ‘just the information’. Even when the person comes to know something specifically he or she still wants to see some sort of a storyline in the article and your ways of explanation.

In other case, I would just google it. I’m reading your article because I want it to catch my heart and brain, not my eyes.

Humans are hardwired for stories. From ancient campfires to modern podcasts, storytelling remains a powerful tool to convey ideas, evoke emotions, and build connections

Storytelling is also a great way to resonate with a specific group of people. If you know what the problem might entrepreneurs have right now, then you can push these buttons to fully entice them. When readers see themselves in a story, they’re more likely to invest emotionally.

5. Host Virtual Sessions & Parties.

Engagement is much more important than likes and comments. You need to know your audience well and contribute to it as much as possible.

The best way to do that is to create a community. It can be anything you’d like, starting from a simple Discord server for like-minded people to large offline sessions where you’ll have a great time all together.

You can host streams and unite people with each other.

In fact, the size of these communities, parties, and sessions doesn’t matter. Matters only the quality of people that you’ve found.

I would prefer to have 10 people with whom I can constantly talk about books, entrepreneurship, and technologies, rather than a thousand pretty boring individuals just listening to me.

I don’t wanna be the one who talks in the crowd, I wanna communicate. So, if you have anything in your head to share with anyone, then I’m always open for a discussion :)
