Digital Products

Everyone wants to have an additional source of income, and creating digital products seems pretty catchy.

That’s why I decided to switch a little bit from client-based revenue to revenue from selling reusable products.

Fortunately, at that time, the Framer Templates marketplace had just started growing, and I wanted to give it a try.

After just a short period, I’ve acquired more than $500 and gotten several long-term clients from this.

So, here are the steps that I took that would help you finally get these sales on your digital product.

Btw, here're some proofs:

Step 1: Engage on X

To truly succeed in this field, you need to spend as much time engaging and promoting as creating the product itself.

Whether you’re selling Notion templates, eBooks, courses, or anything else.

And promoting nowadays is much more straightforward than it was whenever before.

In the early days of side hustles, you needed to be in the top 1% to be somehow noticed.

You’d spend half of your day creating content, spending hundreds of bucks, and, in some cases, still not seeing any results.

Well, at least that didn’t work for me and for all of my fellas who were pretty much in the same niche.

Everything has changed when I discovered X (aka Twitter).

A platform that completely shaped the way I look at content creation and digital marketing overall.

I’ve been actively posting on X for around 2 weeks and have seen some crazy engagement.

Acquired several clients, made several sales on my templates, and got +20K impressions like nothing.

And it’s not unusual, I’m not even in the top 50% of creators and just started doing something on the platform.

To get pretty much the same results, you just need to spend 1–2 hours a day on an algorithm that works in 100% of the cases.

The algorithm is simple:

  • Engage a lot.

  • Write 3–5 posts a day.

  • That’s it

In the beginning, you just try to connect with as many new people as possible.

The more likes you’ll give, the more replies you’ll leave, and the more retweets you’ll make, the more chances of being noticed you’ll have.

If you’re interested in someone, then DM him/her.

By the way, you can DM me, and I’ll be the first one to engage with your content!

The more friends you make, the more people will leave comments and be interested in you.

Step 2: Choose the Tiny-Niche and Show Your Expertise

That’s probably the only secret that I would advise for every beginner creator.

Again, no matter what type of digital products you want to start selling, it’s still crucial to be unique in what you’re doing.

If you, your content, and your product don’t have anything special, then what would anyone spend their time and money on it?

Fortunately, there’s also a little secret that I always talk about — The 3 Skills Strategy.

Let’s say, you’re a great seller.

You want to start selling courses or write a book.

But why would anyone want to buy your course or your book instead of Alex Hormozi’s one?

I mean, why do you think someone would value your expertise over the expertise of other sellers?

That’s the problem of the competitive market, which leads to the failure of 99% of the people.

To eliminate this possibility, you need to choose a very tiny niche where only you’re an expert.

Your sphere shouldn’t be — entrepreneurship.

Be more focused.

And to achieve this, I advise you to stack 3 skills on top of each other.

For instance, I’m a senior UI/UX designer, an entrepreneur, and a writer.

I help businesses to solve their problems and drive conversions by using my design skills. I can do that because I have experience in both fields and have founded a successful design agency.

Then I can convey all of the insights from doing that by producing content, especially tweets and articles.

In other words, I’ve combined and stacked 3 of my most crucial skills on top of each other and made them as correlated as possible.

With the power of this correlation, I can now choose a super small niche and be the only expert there.

I don’t have any competition. I’m literally the only one in my niche.

And because of that I can focus on the problems of my clients more, position myself better, and just take myself on top of the market.

If you want to start selling your products, then you need to find your uniqueness and take as much of your niche as possible

Step 3: Giveaway Stuff For Free

The last step, and probably the most crucial one.

When you already have an audience, a couple hundred followers on X would be enough.

When you already have some consistency and know where you’re going, it’s time to get even more traction by giving away your products for free.

Yeah, for someone who is just starting out, that can sound nuts.

You spend so much time developing and publishing your product, and now I’m telling you to just get rid of that.

I understand you, we’ve all been there.

But it’s just essential to make people interested in you.

You’re losing time and money now to get more in the future.

It’s just a long-term investment that works 100% of the time.

So, my advice would be to create several products that you’ll sell for zero dollars and promote them as much as possible.

You’ll get many followers, many emails, and many clients in the future because of this simple strategy.

After that, you’ll just create 1–2 anchor products that will make 90% of all of your revenue
