Personal Brand

Have you ever wondered what makes a brand unforgettable? Whether it’s a big incorporation or a small personal brand.

A good-looking logo? A great naming? Maybe an impressive website?

The answer is — No.

The definition of a memorable brand is its true uniqueness.

It is your uniqueness that helps you stay above all the others.

Uniqueness is what your brand really is, or how unique it can solve problems.

In this article, I’d like to talk about a new strategy that I and the most magnificent content creators use to build their brand and stay on the ground in such a competitive market.

So, let’s begin.

Have you ever wondered what makes a brand unforgettable? Whether it’s a big incorporation or a small personal brand.

The Problem

Let’s say you’re an entrepreneur. You’ve started your journey, opened a business, and want to share some of your experience with the audience.

The first thing that comes to mind is to write about entrepreneurship overall.

Seems logical, right?

You start to talk about all the different aspects of business, starting with funding your startup and ending with marketing on X.

That’s the most common problem new people on the market face.

Take a look at your content from the reader’s point of view. Why would anyone read your content instead of Alex Hormozi’s one? Or instead of Tim Denning’s one?

Even if you’re really talking about something interesting and have experience in this sphere.

It’s just not how the market and personal brand work.

If you’re not a giant on the platform, you can’t be so unfocused, you can’t talk about everything at the same time. Even if it’s in only one sphere.

People don’t see any uniqueness in you or your content. You’re just another ‘entrepreneur’ that they’ve seen hundreds of times.

However, there’s a pretty easy solution to get this uniqueness and start seeing traction from everyone.

Define 3 Skills That You’re Good at The Most

We’ve understood that it doesn’t mean almost anything to anyone if you’re just good at one thing. Even if you’re a great specialist in it.

So, to fix it, we simply start to stack several skills (not more than 3) on top of each other.

Let’s take my example and how I finally started seeing engagement after a long time.

I’m a senior UI/UX designer, a professional in this sphere with over 5 years of experience. I made lots of designs, worked for several big companies, and so on.

Almost a year ago, I decided to open a Design Agency (aka, step on the entrepreneurial path)

I’ve found a team of specialists, and we’re constantly working on improving every part of our agency and acquiring more and more clients all the time.

Now, I’m an entrepreneur & UI/UX designer. Great combination, but still not enough uniqueness, is it?

We have all seen designers who opened their own agency, it’s pretty common for almost any specialist.

The magic starts when we add the third skill to it.

For me, it’s copywriting.

The skill of conveying the most crucial information to a large audience by using text.

By using copywriting, I can create better websites. By using copywriting, I can write articles like this one. By using copywriting, I can get my business to the next level.

In other words, I’ve connected and stacked all of my skills on top of each other.

But what is the purpose of it anyway?

Great question. Let’s look at the numbers.

We can say that there are not that many senior designers in the world. Let it be 5% of all of the designers out there.

Or if we look at the whole population, then you’re in the top 1% for sure.

Now, you stack the copywriting skill on top of it. How many senior UI/UX designers are writing? Yeah, I can name a few, but that’s it.

And the final part is entrepreneurship. How many seniors have a great ability to use text and have built successful businesses, you know?

Probably nobody. At least, I don’t.

Show Your Expertise

With this stack of experiences, you can focus on a super-tiny sphere.

It means that you can take on the whole niche by showing your expertise there.

Such as driving conversions for small/medium startups by using easy-to-implement design tips.

Or getting the first 100 clients with zero cash in your pocket by using the power of copywriting and design.

Pretty focused, right? Now that many people talk about it on a really good level.

Find a very specific problem that you can solve with your stack of skills.

The more specific, the better.

Now it’s time for you to position your uniqueness and expertise to the world openly.

You’ll get remembered because there are not that many people out there with similar possibilities.

You’ll be remembered because you’re solving someone’s problem in the most efficient way possible.

In fact, don’t worry if you think that there are not enough people in your sphere.

I’m 100% confident that you’ll be able to find thousands of people who will be interested in specifically what you’re doing and what you’re solving.

By the way, the more engagement you’ll get, the more unfocused you can become. When you’re already someone then people would listen to your entrepreneurship advice rather than to Alex Hormozi.

So, position yourself as an expert in a very tiny niche, and you’ll see immediate success.

Again, there are many good musicians. But how many good musicians are great at graphic design and digital marketing?

You can understand how, by just implying the right music in the ad, you can get people to see it and not leave after 5 seconds.

In this example, you can position yourself as a digital marketer who specializes in writing the best music for an ad that drives more sales.

Yeah, kinda strange example, but it still shows how each skill can help you look at the task from different perspectives.

It still shows how, by correlating them as much as possible, you’re having something cool at the end.

Don’t Overdo It

Nobody wants to see an entrepreneur, programmer, gardener, musician, or architect in one person.

You should still be focused on your main sphere.

Whether it’s design, marketing, or anything else.

The other two are just an addition. An addition that helps you take your main skill to the next level of professionalism.

You can even take a look at my X banner.

I’m positioning myself as a professional designer, but the main problems that I solve are in the business sphere. And my copywriting skills help me to write about it and get even more attention.

I’ve created a great structure and found a pretty tiny sphere on which I can focus the best.

But I’m still a designer, a designer who just knows something else except design on a good level.

You don’t even have to learn anything to stack on top of your main skill.

You probably already have everything you need; you just need to find it.

So, spend just 10 minutes finding this trio that would make you stand on the market

After all, opportunities await, and it’s time to act!
